"Alydar Developing 'Pheromics' Platform Around Infochemicals" by Karen
Young, Staff Writer. In an interview, Rivka Sherman-Gold, Ph.D., President &
CEO, discussed Alydar's near-term fund raising goals to support continued
development of the Company's Pheromics™ product platform and of selected
therapeutic products. Dr. Sherman-Gold described Alydar's product platform,
based on its library of infochemicals, and stated that the Company has
identified compounds that could be developed for treating cardiovascular
diseases and cancer. She emphasized that the novelty of Alydar's technology
is in the use of infochemicals as structural prototypes (scaffolds) for
medicinal chemistry, but product development will be done using
well-established industry standard processes.
