Research and Development Programs
Alydar is developing its Pheromics™ drug product platform by:
- utilizing cheminformatics tools to guide Alydar's targeted,
disease-specific screening programs,
- determining the pharmaceutical potential of the compounds through targeted, disease-specific drug screening in a wide range of therapeutic targets and disease models,
- applying medicinal chemistry to generate libraries of compounds based on
infochemical scaffolds and carrying out lead optimization, and
- conducting pre-clinical pharmaceutical product development of
proprietary product candidates and pursuing IND filing and clinical trials.
Alydar has active R&D programs for cardiovascular diseases and cancer.
Additional areas in which Alydar envisions infochemical-based therapeutics
are neurological and psychiatric diseases, and wound/ulcer healing.
