Nadav Zamir, Ph.D.
Dr. Nadav Zamir is a co-founder of Alydar Pharmaceuticals and has served as
its chief scientist. Prior to founding Alydar, Dr. Zamir was Senior
Scientist at D-Pharm Ltd. where he was involved in research on
small-molecule therapies for neurological and cardiovascular diseases. From
1987 to 1996, Dr. Zamir served as Associate Professor in the Department of
Physiology and Pharmacology at the Tel Aviv University School of Medicine.
During the period from 1981 to 1987, Dr. Zamir was a scientist at the
National Institutes of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland, initially a
post-doctoral fellow at the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) and
subsequently a visiting scientist at the National Institute of Neurological
and Communicative Disorders and Stroke (NINCDS) and at the National Heart,
Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI).
Dr. Zamir holds
a B.Sc. in biology and an M.Sc. in pharmacology from the Hebrew University
in Jerusalem, Israel, and a Ph.D. in neuroscience from the Weizmann
Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel. Dr. Zamir has published nearly 100
articles in scientific journals and books.
