Investing in SLIL

SLIL is a private company, i.e., our stock is not traded on NASDAQ or any other public exchange. Our research activities to date, have been funded mostly by private investors, along with grants from the National Institutes of Health and the U.S. Army. A recent investment by PPD has provided funding to advance our clinical trials.

SLIL’s immediate business opportunities come from its drug discovery pipeline and with the longer-term but potentially exciting prospects of its Sequential Pathogenesis technology. SLIL offers a portfolio of business opportunities with a mix of risks with significant upside potential and with several options for value capture.

In October 2000, SLIL signed its first major licensing agreement with Eli Lilly’s animal health group, Elanco. This provides SLIL with short-term revenue prospects in the form of milestone payments. It also provides credibility for SLIL’s technology. The Company is now pursuing deals with other pharmaceutical companies in the human health arena.
