SLIL scientists have already discovered more than 250 novel compounds, including TTD™ compounds. After in vitro screening, synthesis and drug refinement, a number have now been identified as Lead Compounds for possible development as agents for treating cancer and other human diseases. Most of these compounds are already covered by filed patents.

Several compounds have progressed to preclinical development as Candidate Drugs. The first of these drug candidates (SL11047) has been approved to commence a Phase I/II clinical trial for lymphoma. The Company expects that another candidate drug, SL11093, will enter clinical trial for prostate and pancreatic cancers during the third quarter 2003. Two additional drugs should enter clinical trial for cancer/infectious diseases in 2004.
