SLIL’s immediate commercial opportunities are based on a class of drugs, called polyamines. These are drug classes that have historically shown promise as anti-cancer agents, but proved to be limited by synthesis, toxicity or other problems. Over the last few years, SLIL has overcome these barriers to become the world leader in the polyamine field and to create a range of novel compounds that now show promise in the treatment of cancer and other proliferative diseases.

Augmenting our research efforts in these two drug classes, we have also developed proprietary technologies, called TTD™ (Tumor Targeting and Delivery) technologies. These are drug delivery technologies that are designed to deliver anti-cancer drugs to, or into, the site of a tumor. The TTD™ technologies are covered by SLIL patent filings, and our first TTD™ drug candidate is expected to enter human clinical trials during 2003.
